One more week!

Tomorrow Mary Lambert visits! Don't forget to wear Red and White!

Tomorrow is World Autism Awareness Day. We invite everyone to wear blue to school.

Todays assembly was all about kindness.

Coyote Day is every Tuesday. Wear your spirit wear or red and grey our school colours.

Last week every student got to make Salvation Bracelets.
A Salvation Bracelet is a special bracelet used as a simple and meaningful way to share the story of God's love. Each colored bead on the bracelet represents a part of this story:
Black bead: Reminds us of our sins, the things we do wrong that separate us from God.
Red bead: Symbolizes the blood of Jesus, who died on the cross to forgive our sins.
White bead: Shows that through believing in Jesus, our hearts are cleansed and we can have a fresh start.
Blue bead: Represents Baptism, our choice to follow Jesus.
Green bead: Reminds us to grow in our relationship with God through prayer, reading the Bible, and following His commandments.
Yellow bead: Represents Heaven, reminding us of God's promise that we can live forever with Him.
By wearing this bracelet, we remember what Jesus has done for us, strengthen our faith, and easily share the good news of God’s love with others.

6IL has been working on poetry over the past week. They have focused on different forms and on how capitalization, punctuation and word choice impact a poem greatly.

Holy Cross was lucky enough to bring 3 classes to participate in the Cold Lake Music Festival. The Grade 6 Immersion class performed 2 poems in the choral speech category, and both of the Grade 3 English classes were combined to sing 2 songs in the choir category. Both groups will be receiving a trophy for receiving marks of 87 and 88 percent.

Holy Cross welcomes Mary Lambert to our school on April 3rd. Mary has requested to wear RED & White to her concert. Families are welcome to join us at 1:30 p.m in the gym.

Reminder there is no school tomorrow for staff & students in lieu of Student Lead Conferences.

Today, students from 6EW and students who are members of Cold Lake First Nations spent the morning learning about net fishing and were able to experience watching the nets be pulled and how the fish are removed from them. It was an excellent experience, and we are so grateful to Dani Moore for facilitating the day.

Book Fair is now closed. Thank you to everyone who purchased items this year. Our book fair brought in $2750.00 worth of credit towards new books for our school!
