Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year. It is with joy and gratitude that I welcome you back to Lakeland Catholic. I hope your summer was filled with rest, renewal, and time spent with loved ones. As we step into this new year, we do so with open hearts, eager minds, and a renewed commitment to our mission: to serve, to teach, and to walk with each child entrusted to our care.
This year, we are inspired by a beautiful reminder from Saint Teresa of Calcutta:
“Do small things with great love.”
These words capture the essence of Catholic education - that the simplest gestures of kindness, encouragement, and compassion can leave lasting impressions on a child’s heart and spirit. It is often the little things, done with intention and love, that shape lives and build strong communities.
We also begin a new initiative this year: across the division and with your families at home, we will highlight a different Catholic Social Teaching each month. Through classroom learning, school-wide activities, and faith formation, our students will be invited to explore important themes such as human dignity, the common good, solidarity, and care for creation. These teachings will guide us as we continue forming students to live with faith, compassion, and virtue.
Our schools remain steadfast in our commitment to academic excellence, recognizing that the pursuit of knowledge, guided by faith, helps students grow in wisdom, strengthen their character, and live with purpose. We are equally dedicated to the spiritual and emotional well-being of every student. A strong home–school connection is vital to student success, and we value your partnership in this mission.
