One of École Notre Dame High School's most cherished traditions continued today as the Class of 2026 gathered for their annual graduation pep rally and grad walk through the community.
The day began with a pep rally, where graduates received plant clippings from the school's living wall, presented by Superintendent Sheldon Germain. The plant clippings serve as a meaningful symbol of growth as graduates prepare to begin the next chapter of their journey. Graduates then took part in the traditional Grad Walk, visiting École Notre Dame Elementary School, the Bonnyville Lodge, and École Dr. Bernard Brosseau School, where they were greeted with cheers, high-fives, handmade posters, and well wishes from students, staff, residents, and community members.

More than 100 Dr. Brosseau Athletes headed to the Central Ward Track Meet on Tuesday—and what a day it was!
From running their hearts out on the track to competing in throwing and jumping events, our Bobcats gave it their all. But what stood out most was how they lived out the Code of the Cats—showing respect, leadership, kindness, and cheering each other on every step of the way!
The encouragement, teamwork, and sportsmanship were incredible to see. These athletes didn’t just compete—they lifted each other up and showed what it truly means to be a Bobcat!

Students recently explored the rhythmic world of Tony Bradman’s poetry and the whimsical stories of Canadian author Marie-Louise Gay while practicing the art of the quick write. 📝⏱️
Using creativity and imagination, students created their own fun adventures, alternate endings, and exciting plot twists inspired by the stories they explored in class.
We are so proud of their growing confidence, creativity, and expanding vocabulary as they continue strengthening their language and writing skills!

As we celebrate Catholic Education Week (May 9–15, 2026), we invite you to reflect on the message from the Catholic Bishops of Alberta, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.
Rooted in this year’s theme, “Anchored in Christ, Beacon of Hope,” the letter speaks to the gift of Catholic education and the shared role of families, parishes, and schools in forming students in faith.
