We were honoured to welcome Deputy Mayor Sharun to our school library for a special session with members of our Student Leadership Team!
Deputy Mayor Sharun generously took time to speak with our students about what it means to be a leader in our community. The conversation was rich with insights as students asked thoughtful questions, shared their own experiences, and explored how they can make meaningful contributions as young leaders within our Catholic school and beyond.

Last Thursday we put our creativity (and our sense of humour) to the test with “Anything But a Backpack Day!” Instead of the usual backpacks, our students brought their books and supplies in wagons, coolers, baskets, laundry bins, toy trucks, and even a Town of Bonnyville garbage can! 🗑️😂
From shopping carts to tricycles, from storage bins to pet carriers, we saw it all rolling, sliding, and cruising through the gym. It was absolutely hilarious and everyone got a huge kick out of it - students and staff alike!
Thank you to everyone who participated and made this spirit day such a memorable one. We love seeing our students’ imaginations at work - and these pictures are proof that we know how to have fun at Dr. Brosseau!

🌓🍪 Our Grade 5 students had a blast learning about the phases of the Moon using OREO cookies! By twisting, munching, and arranging the cookies, they explored how astronomical phenomena—like the Moon’s phases—follow predictable patterns and cycles. Science is always more fun (and delicious!) when it’s hands-on! 🌕✨
